Beer festival at the Green Man in Grantchester

Meet Us At The Beer Festival On 30 March!

It’s that time of year again, when beer festivals are popping up all around Cambridge and Beyond. I have to admit, that I never was a huge fan of English beers as ‘we’ from the continent like a beer with a nice head and served cold. This all changed when I visited the beer festival at the Green Man last year. I thought I have a go at it as after a long walk from Cambridge I needed a nice and refreshing drink so I decided to have a try some of the local brews on offer instead of my usual cider or glass of wine. Instantly converted! That is converted to the artisan breweries as my palate doesn’t really run wild on the industrial ones I am afraid.  The reason for this probably is, living for some time just a stones throw away from the Altstadt in Düsseldorf and ‘De Oude Haven’ in Rotterdam, where I was spoiled for choice for fantastic artisan beers.

Easter weekend is the start of the new season of beer festivals at the Green Man in Grantchester. One of the reason why I particularly like it, is the fantastic food and the live music during the beer festival. If you haven’t been to the Green Man yet, then you are really into a foodie surprise as their food is far beyond the fine food you can get these days in many Gastro pubs. Their beer festival is very popular and you might think, that they reduce their menu down to only bar snacks. Not at the Green Man though! They offer the full range of their excellent meals.
