Host a Dinner down Memory lane in October

Dinner Down Memory Lane – A meal with a difference!

Dinner parties are a great way to share memorable moments with friends and family. With the support of the team at Cambridge Food Tour, Marie Curie is calling on food fans in Cambridgeshire to host a dinner party with a difference this October.

The charity wants you to host a ‘Dinner Down Memory Lane’, and instead of asking guests to bring a bottle or a dessert, ask for a donation instead. In doing so, you will help support Marie Curie Nurses care for people living with a terminal illness, helping them spend quality time with their loved ones.

Emily Fleming, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie, said, “We all love getting together with friends and family, having fun and creating new memories – Dinner Down Memory Lane is all about doing just that. It’s the perfect excuse to share good times with your loved ones and, by inviting your guests to make a donation, you’ll be supporting Marie Curie Nurses at the same time.”

Cambridge Food Tour are the local experts in creating unique food tours and events. So who better to take Emily together with two local Marie Curie volunteers and local Marie Curie Nurse, Charlotte on a bespoke food tour to help inspire people in Cambridgeshire for their own Dinner Down Memory Lane menus. Cambridgeshire has such a rich food history and Delicious Magazine described Cambridge as a city peppered with international cuisine. So anyone looking to host their own Dinner Down Memory Lane in October won’t be short for ideas and fantastic local ingredients to make their evening memorable. If you want to find out first hand where to shop for ‘Dinner Down Memory Lane’ or looking for inspiration, then we recommend joining one of our food tours.

Whether it’s Stephen Fry’s favourite Chelsea Buns from Fitzbillies, fresh worldwide cuisine from the Cambridge Market, cheese from Culinaris deli or homemade goodies from The Garden Kitchen – anything goes – just be the host with the most by creating a meal to remember this October in aid of Marie Curie.
