28 May Mill Road Feast – 1 June
The Second Edition Of Mill Road Feast
We’ve only closed off our successful Eat Cambridge food festival last weekend and on Sunday it is time to feast again! The food scene in Cambridge is definitely booming. I’m sure you keen to find out the line up of our newest food feast in Cambridge, held on Sunday the 1st of June in Great Eastern Street from 10.00-3.00pm. Mill Road is in my opinion the most vibrant and cosmopolitan street in Cambridge or as I like to refer to it; “our Brick lane”. Although over the years Mill Road has been an area, where locals like to hang out, it is now becoming a destination in itself. Mill Road is very easy to get to too as it’s only 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Cambridge.
Many people flock here every year to eat their way through Mill Road during their Winter fair, held on the first Saturday of December. During this amazing food festival, Mill Road is closed off for the day. Local restaurants, shops and even residents sell their food in front of their shop or house. This fair is the biggest food fair in Cambridge and is expanding every year. Last year their newest event was a demo at the Cambridge Kitchens and I’m sure there will be something new added this year again. We don’t run any food tours that day as it is too busy to show people the foodie side of Cambridge and I would hate to miss this fantastic event myself.
The Mill Road Feast takes place every 3 months. You can find a range of local produce including cheese and charcuterie products, jams, relishes and cakes plus music and a social seating area to meet up with friends. This time the Earl of Beaconsfield will run a beer festival alongside it!
And while you’re in the area, why not check out the full range of Mill Road’s independent shops and cafes.
