21 Feb Mill Road Feast 1 March 2015
Time flies! I almost forgot that Mill Road Feast kicked off a year ago. For those who haven’t been, Mill Road Feast is a quarterly pop up market offering local produce and street food held around the vibey Mill Road area. It all started on Gwydir Street car park but will be held this time at Donkey’s green (opposite Parkers Piece at the start of Mill Road). A perfect spot, which will probably attract even more visitors.
There is more to celebrate on the 1st of March, a new street food trader! After Jack Gelato pushing a bike with his Gelato, we will now have Will of Scrumptious soups doing the same, but instead of Gelato, he will be selling steaming cups of soups.
Scrumptious soups will be selling daily made, fresh, organic soups, of the highest quality from their custom-made soup bike designed by Will himself. You can get a glimpse of the building process on his Facebook page. The design is based on a Pashley ice cream bike. Will worked together on the clever design with the team of Providence, who built the platform in which he can store large thermos. This then forms a serving platform, as well as a storing platform.
Will has a good background, having worked at Cotto. It’s almost needless to say, that this was a huge inspiration for him. One of his ‘secret ingredients’ is, the helping hand of the Master chef fine-tuning the scrumptious soups. Coupled with bread from Bread on Bike’s delicious Czech bread with pumpkin seeds, this heartwarming, finger tingling soup will soon be the talk of the town!
