01 Nov Pint Shop Preview Party review
A taster of the Pint Shop – Last night we had a taster of what soon is to come. The Pint Shop is all about – MEAT – BEER – BREAD. And…. gin! You can look forward to 40 different kinds of gin including a very unusual opening one – pea gin!
The Pint Shop will be opening their beer bar and dining rooms, at 5p m on Monday 4th November. You can find the Pint Shop on 10 Peas Hill, just behind the Guildhall. Their vision is to create a place where food & drink, eaters & drinkers take equal billing. The kind of place you feel equally at home having a few beers, a light lunch or a full-blown feast.
The inspiration for the Pint Shop came from the Beer Houses of the 1830’s. They loved the idea of converting a once domestic building, selling craft beer, tons of gin and cooking over real charcoal. The Pint Shop will kick off with a soft launch (33% off food) in the dining rooms while they try to get everything as good as it can be. The soft launch will run for 10 days from Monday 4th – Wednesday 13th November. It will be available all day except on the 4th and 5th where they will only be serving dinner.
The team of the Pint Shop have been blown away by the number of people to sign up for this. Numbers are limited and tables must be pre-booked. Quite a few evenings have been booked out, but there are still a few places available. So if you’d like to book a table please email bookings@pintshop.co.uk. In the email please state the date (you can include more than one if flexible), your preferred time and the number of people. Please also include a phone number. They will then call you within 48hours to complete your booking. During the soft launch period, the maximum table size will be 8 people.
The Pint Shop bar and bar snacks will not be part of our soft launch though. The bar will be open and in full swing from the 4th of November. So if you fancy something a bit more casual or miss out on our dining rooms launch you can still come and have a drink and a snack in the bar. No bookings in the bar though.
