About Steak & Honour Hamburgers

The Place

Citroen H Van, based in Cambridge, Steak & Honour is serving proper burgers made with local produce. Roaming the streets of Cambridge and available for private hire too.

Style

You often can find Leo ‘roaming’ the streets of Cambridge, pitching a pitch somewhere in Cambridge during the weekends or festivals. Inspired by the Meatwagon in London.

The Story

Leo Riethof is originally from Cambridge, he moved to London in 2004 to study Graphic Design. After finishing his degree in 2008 he realised a career in graphics just wasn’t for him. He worked in some of the finest restaurants (Hix in London and Alimentum) and after his retro van was free from scrathes he started selling is famed hamburgers. If he’s not selling hamburgers he assists Rosie Sykes in the kitchen at Fitzbillies.

The Food

The menu changes from one event to another but his all time favourite classic remains the same:Local Riverside chuck, minced daily, brioche bun made by a local artisan baker, fresh garnish of gherkin, onion & lettuce, finished off with the classic American combination of French’s mustard and Heinz Tommy K.
