Water Aid – A better world!

We are changing our water policy. Instead of a free plastic bottle of water on our food tours, we will be donating to Water Aid!

It is not an unfamiliar sight, plastic bottles scattered around in the parks and streets. Especially on hot summer days, the bins are overflowing with plastic bottles, disposable plates and plastic bags. The recent coverage of the oceans containing a lot of plastic  shows that it is not only harmful to the wildlife in the oceans but  has a huge impact on our society too!

After long consideration, we have decided to go plastic free on our food tours. Although the water bottles we hand out get recycled at the end of the tours, we think that there are too many plastic bottles on the planet. It is quite clear, that this is not sustainable and we have to do something about it. It harms nature, the wildlife and us!

So this means, that we no longer will be handing out bottles of water on the Lunch with the Cambridge Food Tour, Taste Cambridge and our Private Tours. We will be donating every month to Water Aid instead so we can help communities elsewhere in the world to get clean water and improve their facilities.

Wondering how you can help too? Contact Water Aid here.
